12th International Specialist Conference “50 Years of Foamed Plastics” in Düsseldorf

Louis C. Rubens was born on 9 November 1919 in Midland, Mich. He graduated from Jordan College, Menomince, Mich. / USA, with the academic degree of A.A. S. and joined the Physical Research Laboratory of the Dow Chemical Company in Midland in 1940 as a research assistant, where he worked for over 30 years in the field of polymer science and technology, especially in the field of foam plastics. In 1982 he was promoted to Research Fellow of the Dow Chemical Company. Rubens, who holds 48 US patents and has published 20 scientific papers, is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Research Society of America.
