The K, the world’s largest leading trade fair for the plastics industry, takes place every 3 years. 2019 is again the year of the K, from 16 to 23 October the industry will meet in Düsseldorf.

The K is one of the major highlights in 2019, not only for the Specialist Association Foamed Plastic and Polyurethanes (FSK), but for the entire plastics industry. This event takes place every three years on eight days, in 2019 from 16 to 23 October at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. “In the future, economic success will increasingly depend on the effective merging of the digital world with the worlds of production processes and new product developments. This challenge requires a creative pioneering spirit. In 2019 the trade fair committee has chosen the motto ‘A world of pioneers’ for the world’s largest industry fair”, explained Klaus Junginger, Managing Director of the FSK and since 2018 also a member of the K fair committee. The English-language title demonstrates the global significance and orientation of the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics industry. Around a quarter of a million international visitors from over 150 countries are expected. The K 2019 not only presents the global players, but also focuses on relevant topics of the plastics industry. In addition to other “Hot Topics”, the focus of this year’s fair will be on sustainability and the recycling industry in particular. The international exhibitors at the Plastics Fair 2019 are addressing the current challenges and will be presenting the latest innovations and developments in the plastics industry. Visitors can find information on the focused subject areas at the exhibitor stands and in the supporting programme of the fair.

The Specialist Association Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes and its FSK members have had a joint stand at the K since 2007 and are extremely satisfied with the results. In 2016, a new, modern stand concept was developed for the trade fair presentation. “Having fulfilled the expectations of FSK members and trade association in equal measure, in 2019 the FSK is sticking to the concept realised three years ago and will again be presenting itself together with its member companies on the 250 square metre joint stand in Hall 7a, Stands B26/C25,” says Junginger. Among the co-exhibitors at the FSK joint stand (as of April 2019) are Acmos Chemie, BOSIG, FreChem, Keil Anlagenbau, Performance Chemicals, Rampf Polymer Solutions, RÜHL PUROMER and Sitola. The association members will present their products and services to the specialist audience under the flag of the FSK. Thus, visitors to the FSK joint stand will be offered a wide range of services from foam processors and PUR system houses to suppliers of machine and cutting technologies. The individual co-exhibiting FSK members will be introduced in greater detail by the specialist association over the next few weeks.
