On May 09 and 10, 2023, the Specialist Group Polyurethanes of the Specialist Association Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes e. V. (FSK e.V.) will meet at the company Getzner GmbH in Bürs, Austria. In addition to a tour of the modern high-bay warehouse, the agenda also includes the election of the specialist group spokesperson and important current topics.

Our largest specialist group in the association, the Polyurethane Specialist Group, will meet this year on 10 May in Bürs, Austria. The association and its member company, Getzner GmbH, cordially invite all members to the specialist group meeting. We recommend early registration via our online registration tool as the number of participants is limited. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our member, the company Getzner GmbH, for the invitation to the well-known industrial location surrounded by the Alps. Already on the evening before, on 09 May, the early arrivals will meet for the traditional get-together and use the opportunity for the first networking.

After the welcome and the choice of speakers, the agenda includes exciting lectures. The first lecture by Sven Müller from Getzner GmbH will be on the subject of “Recycling Strategies in the PUR Industry”. Fahdi Dohnal from the Microtechnology Research Centre, FHV and Alexander Murr from the Energy Research Centre, FHV will give a lecture on the statement: “The beauty of materials (ageing): We don’t just age, we also characterise and design.” After a coffee break with an opportunity for networking, Gerals Forsthuber from Alba tooling & engeneering GmbH will give a talk on “Tannin as a biogenic alternative in acoustic and thermal insulation”. Wilhelm Rupertsberger from Fill GmbH will take up an explosive topic in his lecture on “Particle foam replaces PU?” before the group lunch with further opportunity to exchange ideas. The series of lectures will be rounded off by a further lecture, which is currently still being finalised. The session will end with a guided tour. Participants will be able to take a look at the impressive high camp. Here, storage is organised almost silently and at enormous heights by means of a sophisticated crane system.
