On 09 and 10 June 2022 the meeting of the FSK Converter Group took place in Münster. With more than 25 participants, the first life meeting of the group after the Corona break was a great success all around. To kick off the specialist group meeting, the FSK invited the participants to the traditional get-together at the “Alter Gasthaus Leve” the evening before. The participants enthusiastically used the pleasant, relaxed atmosphere for discussions and networking until late in the day.
On the second day of the event, Armacell GmbH opened its doors to the fabricators’ network and gave the participants exclusive insights during a factory tour. After a briefing on safety regulations by Mr Piotr Brunckhorst-Sak, Sales Representative OEM, Armacell GmbH, the participants were taken on a one-hour tour of the Armacell halls. Afterwards, Armacell invited all participants to lunch together.

The day was moderated by Udo Storck, Masterfoam Group. On his agenda was the presentation of the newly structured and networked Converter Network group. Udo Storck emphasised that positive effects for all result from the overlapping cooperation. The aim is to continue to accept new members into the group in order to be able to act and move as a strong voice in the industry. Thanks to its size, the network is in a position to take up other important topics in the future in smaller working groups.

News from the industry flowed in through the presentations of the companies LaPur GmbH, NMC, Fastweld, ATOM Stanz- und Schneidesysteme GmbH and Expert Systemtechnik. The topics of material procurement, market prices and shortage of skilled workers were on the tableau. Expert Systemtechnik put the point of digitalisation of workplaces and the associated change in the industry up for discussion and met with great interest.

In the early afternoon of the second day, Udo Storck finally said goodbye to the participants with a firm date for a get-together of the group at Foam Expo 2022 in November. The next big occasion for a get-together will also be the International Conference on 13 and 14 September in Dortmund on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the trade association.
