Stuttgart, 04.11.2024 – Just a few weeks to go until the important industry meeting and annual highlight of the Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes Association (FSK). On November 20 and 21, 2024, the big annual conference will take place at the KraussMaffei Group’s new main plant and headquarters in Parsdorf with a get-together the evening before on November 19, 2024. But it’s not just the setting that attracts visitors with unique insights into the world of KraussMaffei as part of the plant tour and the live demonstration of the ColorForm system, the lecture topics and the panel discussion with their diverse topics also invite you to further professional training and lively exchange right into the cozy evening events.

Panel discussion: Future viability of foam plastics 

A panel discussion will also take place as part of the conference. The association will not shy away from discussing the critical question of the extent to which foam plastics are still fit for the future with high-profile representatives from various sectors of the industry. “Against the backdrop of regulatory restrictions, social pressure, demands for recyclability and sustainability and the current economic situation, we are feeling enormous pressure in the industry. We need to consciously face up to this and all the associated challenges,” says Junginger, pointing out the explosive nature of the discussion. The discussion will be chaired and moderated by FSK Chairman of the Board Jörg Arntzen, Dow Deutschland Anlagengesellschaft mbH; Guests on the podium are:

Presentation of association work

The members’ meeting always takes place as part of the association’s major annual conference. Even before the conference begins, the members of the association meet for an internal meeting to discuss and determine the status quo, finances and the major future topics of the association and its subsidiary together with the FSK Board. “At this event, we reach our members and all interested parties up close. The contact and direct exchange is extremely important to us, and the conference provides a lot of impetus for the coming association year,” reports Junginger. Some of the association’s key topics will also be presented directly in live demonstrations. On both days, participants will have the opportunity to get to know the entire range of training courses on offer, in particular on AI and Tank Farm Assessments (TFA), IBC/Drum Assessments (IDA) and specialized trainings for tanker unloading personnel.
