92-year-old first chairman of VSV honoured by FSK.

On the occasion of the foundation of the new Specialist Group Foam Converters, the 92-year-old founder and 1st Chairman of the Association of Foam Converters VSV e. V., Dipl.-Ing. Gustav Emmerling, received the medal of honour of the Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe FSK e. V.. Mr. Georg Heinlein, the last chairman of the Association of Foam Converters before it was integrated into the FSK, and Albrecht Manderscheid, FSK chairman, honoured the merits of Gustav Emmerling, who founded the association in 1955 with 8 colleagues. The background 50 years ago for the foundation of VSV was the market power of the foam manufacturers of that time over the small and partly young medium-sized processors. According to Gustav Emmerling, quality and price were not always in the right ratio in the case of semi-finished foam products, so that it was necessary to bundle the interests of the processors. In the following years, the VSV has grown through further topics, especially through legal requirements, where it was necessary to represent the interests and to discuss the implementation with the colleague companies and carry it out together. In his acceptance speech, the 92-year-old entrepreneur welcomed the fact that the SAAM and the FSC had now merged and wished the new specialist group for foam processors in the FSC every success in the tasks ahead.
The two chairmen, Albrecht Manderscheid and Georg Heinlein, had prepared the merger of the two associations last year and the general meeting had completed it. At the meeting at Lake Constance, both of them launched the new specialist group.
