“The FSK had good discussions at UTECH Europe 2021,” explains Klaus Junginger, Managing Director of the FSK. “From our estimation, the number of visitors was lower than the times before, but the talks were qualitatively very good. The busiest day was the second.”

New international contacts were made and existing ones cultivated and intensified, with the objective to identify synergies, exchange ideas and information, and represent FSK member interests via the right networks. At the same time, the specialist association employed the UTECH Europe to gain an on-site overview of the latest developments in the field of polyurethanes and to deepen further its knowledge of this modern material and its wide range of potential applications. “Polyurethane is a product of the future. It is not only versatile but also modern and safe to use in the manufacture of a wide variety of consumer and industrial products that make our lives more convenient, more comfortable and also more environmentally friendly,” says Klaus Junginger, FSK Managing Director. As an example, he states: “We find PUR, among other things, as flexible foam in mattresses, in housing components for medical devices or as an insulating material in the form of rigid foam and in lacquers or adhesives.” Due to the various properties of this material, new trends are constantly emerging, making new applications possible in a wide variety of industries. The UTECH Europe 2021 in Maastricht offers an excellent platform to present these live.
