Harmonized occupational safety throughout Europe, more coverage and safe learning outcomes: these are the goals of the cooperation between the German Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes Association (Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e. V.) and the Swiss Plastics Industry Association (Verband der Schweizer Kunststoffindustrie KUNSTSTOFF.swiss) in the area of training.
On 04 May 2023, the German Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes Association (FSK e.V.), together with its member company Dow Deutschland Anlagengesellschaft mbH, organized the FSK workshop "Polyurethanes for Beginners" in Ahlen. Participants and organizers were equally enthusiastic.
In addition to numerous technical topics, the election of the spokesperson was also on the agenda for the last meeting of the Insulation Division. The group unanimously decided on a team leadership and elected Daniel Graba, Daniel Hofmann and Bernhard Radinger as spokespersons for the group.
Only two weeks to go, then the Polyurethanes Specialist Group will meet on 09 and 10 May 2023 at the company Getzner Werkstoffe GmbH in Bürs, Austria. We are all the more pleased to be able to present yet another important topic in the series of lectures. In her keynote speech, Dr. Tina Kärcher-Heilemann will take up the topic " Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains (LkSG) - What is to be done for companies?". The specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law of Dreitor Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB will address the scope of application, terminology, central due diligence obligations, sanctions, litigation, risk management as well as related and future regulations.
On 13 September 2023 the German Specialist Association for Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes (Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane – FSK e.V.) and its member company Hennecke GmbH in St. Augustin will be holding the second FSK workshop in the "Polyurethanes for Beginners" series this year. The first workshop was fully booked within a few days - early registration is therefore recommended.
On May 09 and 10, 2023, the Specialist Group Polyurethanes of the Specialist Association Foamed Plastics and Polyurethanes e. V. (FSK e.V.) will meet at the company Getzner GmbH in Bürs, Austria. Young talents and experts as well as professionals and companies are invited to submit innovative ideas, forward-looking concepts and new developments in the field of Foamed plastics and Polyurethanes.

The restriction on Diisocyanates under REACH requires all industrial or professional users of Diisocyanates with a monomer concentration greater than 0.1 percent by weight to complete training before August 24, 2023. The clock is ticking.
Unfortunately due to special incidents in the industry, the Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e.V. (FSK e.V.) has to cancel the Lightness of PUR symposium on 15.03.2023.
